I’m just too tired

I’ve had every intention of updating my blog. I’ve just gotten behind in everything and I can’t seem to pick up the slack. I’m tired. I’m usually so productive at night. After my kids go to bed, I usually clean up the front of the house, or vacuum, or do laundry, or watch TV, or update my blog, or a combination of some or all of those things, but these days, I’m lucky if I even brush my teeth before I fall asleep. And my scripture reading is slacking big time, too. As much as I’ve loved the addition of Skip to our lives, having a new baby–even as good a baby as he–has seemed to unravel things a bit. And like I said, I’m just tired. I’ve been wanting to tell you about how I got mastitis for the first time; and about how Brian was out of town for our Valentines date so I was accompanied by Camp instead;

and about how Brian ran his first Ultra marathon (which was 31 miles of trails!!); and about how we enjoyed another wonderful visit with Becky who came to meet Skip and be here for his Blessing; and about how I’ve been looking forward to Brian’s and my 10 year wedding anniversary forever and when it finally came, it was awful; and about how good the kids are with Skip; and about how I got to visit with Brooke for a couple hours and see in person just how darling Addison is; and about how I’m finally going to make an appointment with the doctor so that he can prescribe me some ultra-strength antiperspirant; and probably about other things. The problem is, though–I’m just too tired. But don’t you worry. As soon as I’ve gotten tons of sleep and my kitchen floor is clean again, I’ll tell you all about it.

  1. Maybe it's time to get a job outside the home so that you can get some rest. You all look great.

  2. Oh Ann. It's so hard to get that groove back after baby. Give it a few more months at least! I had such a harder time with #4 than #3. Granted, some of that was personality but I just felt so much more overwhelmed and tired. Plus, mastitis super sucks and makes it all a million times worse! Good luck and I love every little post you make. You're still more caught up than me! 🙂

  3. skip is so cute! he reminds me of campers when he was a little kid.

    i have an idea. come to las vegas and rest for a week. k, coo.

    ps. did dogs or cats win in camp's survey?

  4. Oh, man Ann. I feel for you. If I were still there I would come give you nap breaks because I know how they are the ultimate present to give someone who is sleep deprived. Hang in there. You always make it through.

  5. So glad you posted! A few things:
    1. Skip is adorable!
    2. You look amazing
    3. Brian's dedication to stuff amazes me on a daily basis. I mean seriously who can run that far in the mud. My oh my Brian!
    4. Mastitis is the worst thing in the whole world! I got it back to back on both sides and I thought I might be dying. Seriously though, I was just trying to feed my babe and that's the thanks we get!
    5. I am totally with you on the tired and I don't have more then one babe. I'm in trouble here

  6. What the??? An Ultra Marathon… I must hear more about this and see more pictures of how gorgeous you are and that cute little skip. Enjoy those kids… it's way more important than your blog 🙂

  7. Are you sure you're tired? Because you guys all look perfect in the pictures! You look like a super model (as always). And thanks for entertaining my family while I was gone. Miss you guys.

  8. Ann,

    That is so incredibly familiar, these days chores are the accomplishment, blogging happens only Sunday when Dad can wrestle the kids, and only occasionally. Skip is adorable. Great job Brian, sorry about v=day, and Ann you look great in pink. Sensational. Brushing teeth at night went by the wayside awhile ago however.

  9. Life sure is CRAZY, but I love how we are all going through the same things together. Thanks for all your heartfelt honesty…I wish everyone were that way!!
