Hi! I'm Ann Lacouture.

I grew up in Las Vegas, NV in a family of 9 with a giant gap between my front teeth and a propensity for decorating.

When I was about 8, I received my first bedding set for Christmas from my Grandma Hatch and thought I had died and gone to heaven.   As it happens, it was also during that year that my mom told me alllll the stuff about where babies come from.  I told her she was worse than the devil.   Anyway…that was a big year.

I married Brian in 2001; graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Statistics in 2002 (I changed my major from Interior Design when there was no mention of toss pillows in my first Interiors class–insert eye roll emoji here); and started having children in 2003.   For the last 18 years, I’ve been a stay-at-home-mom, which has been a dream for me–not only because I’m passionate about motherhood–but because it’s allowed me to decorate my own home to my heart’s content.

As much as I love and appreciate beautiful neutral interiors, my soul yearns to live in color.

I’m glad you’re here.  Welcome!

I bet we've got something in common!

  • I’m the second of seven children.
  • I had a fear of kissing when I was a teenager.
  • I have perfect ears, a couple false teeth and a reoccurring chin hair.
  • I love watching Dateline and eating homemade mint Oreo  blizzards.
  • I could eat salsa every day.
  • I’m impatient.
  • I love a clean house and getting rid of stuff.  Too much stuff makes me anxious.

  • My faith is the largest part of who I am
  • Communication is BIG for me
  • I only drink caffeine (or soda, for that matter) when I need to drive a long distance
  • I love taking naps
  • Fall is my favorite season.
  • My favorite part of being a mom is cheering for my kids.
  • My least favorite chores are folding laundry and deciding what to make for dinner
