And isn’t it amazing how extremely difficult it is when you are so excited for your daughter to wear the darling jumper you got her for school and as soon as she puts it on (without even looking in the mirror) she declares she doesn’t like it and will not wear it? Oh, my heavens–I think my blood pressure spiked!….And all that hard-earned money down the drain… I didn’t handle it too well, I’m afraid, even though I know exactly what the good mom thing to do is. But I apologized during breakfast and told her that she is not the only one who has ever been particular about her clothing. I was a bit the same way. So I should understand. I’m trying to understand. Maybe she’ll like it when she tries it on tomorrow…

That picture of Skip is unbearably cute.
Bummer about the jumper.
luckily you have 2 girls? maybe she'll like it when all her other 'new clothes' are 'old clothes' (or next year don't show her the new clothes & when she begs for new school clothes- pull them out- look new school clothes! just like you wanted)
His squigy face is too cute. Oh, man I can wait to have fashion battles with Addison.
That is so funny Ann! I can remember when I was in Kindergarten my mother being so excited about a green velour outfit, with a turtle neck that she had got for me. There was no way I was wearing that! Some things never change…like us mothers trying to get our children to wear a very cute outfit we love and them just hating it. This even happens to me who has not one daughter but three boys. When I bring out a very handsome shirt with a collar and Ruben says "No way Mom, but save for a day when I go to a wedding" really a wedding?! Lucky for me Spencer loves to look sooo handsome and will wear any of Ruben's refusals.
Bah Ha Ha. What goes around comes around. Bet she didn't wear it the next day.
